2010-2011
August 28, 2010
Today's from shore tournament marked the start of
the new season for the Treasure Coast Junior Teen Anglers!
Before we get to the results we want to welcome a
few new Junior Teen Anglers -- Bradley & Shelby Dray,
Dylan Rudd, Brad Taylor, Erin & Ryan Warnack and Neil Roy.
Also, welcome back to Neeley Bankston! Also,
congrats to Taylor & Thomas Roop on the birth of
their new baby sister!
The day started off like most of the tournaments
-- excited kids that couldn't wait to fish. When Neeley
came over to check in she said -- I'm back!! We had a
total of 28 fish that were caught and released.
The first Junior to the table was Kaitlyn Ward
and she had a very nice 1lb 9oz. mangrove snapper. Next
was Neeley with a 15oz. puffer. She also had
another puffer and a porcupine fish. Savannah Ward came
up next with a 14oz. catfish. Kaitlyn Ward was
back again but, this time she had a very impressive 4lb. 1oz.
redfish that had 2 spots on each side. She did come back
once more with a 1lb. 4oz. sand
perch.
Jessica Eastland had a 13oz. porcupine fish. Michael
Rochedieu was next with a 1lb 4oz. catfish and he also had
another catfish. Taylor Roop had 8 bait fish and her
brother Thomas had 5. Brad Taylor made his way
up with a needlefish and so did Trevor Walk. Mackenzie
Tessier fought a fish for over 5 minutes and when it came to
the shore it was a very angry stingray.

IMPORTANT Questions about helping the Junior's catch a fish.
*You can cast the rod for them.
*You can help them hook the fish but
they have to fight the fish and bring it in.
*You can help by holding the rod tip
up for them.
*You can take the fish off the hook
for them.
*You can bait the hook for them.
You CAN
NOT catch the fish for them
and then let them weigh it in.
For
your safety you can not wade deeper than knee high.
Junior Teen Anglers is a family
fishing event which is supposed to be a fun event too.
