RESULTS

Ward Sisters Take 1st Place and Walk Takes Biggest Fish

I'm not quite sure if it was all the bad weather on Friday or the 25mph winds and cool temps we had this morning that kept a lot of the Junior Teen Anglers away.  With a total of 24 JTA's signed up we had 11 show up for the tournament and they caught a total of 24 fish.  Before we get to the results I would like to welcome two new JTA's -- Joseph Esgro from St. Cloud and Raegan Faircloth  from Ft. Pierce.

Welcome

Joseph and Raegan

I guess you could say this was a croaker tournament which seemed to be the fish of the day with 11 of the 24 fish being croakers.  The morning started off very slowly with no fish coming to the table until about 9:20am.  Maxwell Martzolf was the first one with a lizzardfish.  Max returned 3 more times and each time it was with a snapper.  Kaitlyn Ward was the second one to weigh a fish -- a croaker.  Kaitlyn returned 4 more times with 3 croakers and a pigfish.  Savannah Ward was next with a croaker and she came back 3 more times with 2 croakers and a pufferfish.  Trevor Walk was the next one to the table with a 1lb. 11oz. spanish mackerel.  Ashton Smith was right behind Trevor with a 1lb. 4oz. catfish.  Raegan Faircloth was next with a croaker.  Laine Pruitt was next with a rockfish and he returned with 4 more.  Michael Rochedieu was next with a croaker and he returned twice more with croakers.  Jessica Eastland came up next with a lizzardfish and returned once more with the same.

All the fish were released.
